The Railroad Windfarm can be an economic powerhouse by creating a massive number of jobs across a range of industries. Unskilled workers will be required for more labor-intensive jobs. Administrative, legal, and logistical support personnel will be required for all jobs created.
Jobs will be created by building renewable energy infrastructure. Utilities will need workers to build and manage substations to enable discharging renewable energy batteries into local grids.
The Railroad Windfarm eliminates new transmission lines. The cost savings enables remotely located solar/wind farms. The ‘out of sight, out of mind’ facilities decrease NIMBYism. The desirability of remote land will inflate some property values. More realtors will be needed.
The Patent suggests converting surplus railcars to productive use. Qualified people will be needed to retrofit railcars. Railroad workers will be needed for the construction and operation of new sidings and switchyards.
Upgrading railroad yards and tracks will create a call for steel rails. The demand for new steel rails, airfoils, batteries, wiring, regenerative brakes on railcars, specialized solar panels, and Vertical Axis Wind Turbines will generate thousands of well-paying manufacturing jobs.
Battery lease/exchange services could lower EV prices and reduce range anxiety. Franchises that have EV battery exchanges will need qualified personnel. Convenience and lower prices will increase sales and promote wider EV use. The EV industry will need a larger workforce.
Research and development of higher capacity renewable energy batteries will generate design and engineering jobs. Innovating EV batteries for battery exchange services offers a similar opportunity. The development of mobile desalination and electrolysis facilities and other types of railcars will create the need for skilled workers, i.e., nurses staffing a clinic.
